 The grips were all chrome and so smooth and I can't imagine them being usable unless you are wearing the tacky gloves wide recievers use to help them catch footballs.

Worst part is they looked like vibrators. No veins though.

Media blasting the frame

So the 50 buck media blaster works well enough, the free dust hood sucks. Fogged up in a half of a breath. Ended up using my clear moto goggles and the red bandana from the wedding as ppe.

Wish now that I spent a tad more on the bigger tub instead of the smaller tub with free hood.

Glass bead lasted a while in it, while I wore the hood and had to stop. Went through bead quickly after I could work constantly.

Waiting on the shocks then I am going to call around welding shops.

Xs frame parts

The frame parts arrived from visual impact today. Missing an ignition switch. I email them about it and recieved a response quickly stating it was their mistake and they are shipping my part ASAP. Sweet!

12v + 6v system = expensive

I wasn't thinking.

Needed a battery to try outr the XL100. So I grabbed the battery out of the XT.
Old bike is a 6v system, and to its credit ran the 12v as well as it could. Then the ign. coil burnt out.

Expensive mistake. My expensive mistake. Not going to charge the neighbor for that of course, but it sure took the fun out of this project.
