Ducati Part 2

Trophy case. 300+ World chapionships if I remember right.
Outside
1cyl engine cut-a-way. Only 50 were made for special carbon bikes that cost 180k...
Engine
H loves engines more than I do!
The "Elephant" Enduro champion of Africa. Those side fairings are gas tanks too. Held 12 gallons total if I remember right.
60's race bike
This race bike was laid down in time trials. A little tape and a WWII cantina for an oil can and it was back on the track to win a race.
This is the bike that started Ducati's rear brake on the right, gear shift on the left trend. They switched from their normal crossed function cause the pilot's right leg was shorter than his left from a wreck. So since they don't use rear brake in racing as much they swapped controls for him to race and went with it from 60's to now. I think it took Triumph to late 70's to figure out it's better that way.
Old bike
another shot of the 4cy vtwin that never made production. One prototype bike was built and sits in a privet collection in Japan,

Old bikes
One of Ducati's first bikes utilizing his kit
Cockpit of the 46 record holder bike. It's so tight the rider couldn't put his feet down and need the pit crew to assist turning the bike around and starting it.

Ducati's start. Ducati used to only build radios and radio components. After WWII ended they built this universal kit that was a small engine and drive to attach to ANY bicycle. I think it went like 12-15mph. Kit was called the "cucciolo" which means puppy.
